SUMMER FUNK

Multi-talented and bright vocalist Sofia Rubina has made herself known to most Estonian jazz artists with her genre-bending inventiveness. Her repertoire ranges from pure jazz classics to soul and gospel influences, and she is also a passionate fan of club music and funk.

Rubina has performed at many renowned jazz festivals all over the world and has collaborated with highly acclaimed Russian, Latvian, Lithuanian and American musicians.

In 2009, she was awarded the Estonian Jazz Union and Jazzkaar Young Jazz Talent Award, and many accolades have followed.

Sofia Rubina has released five albums, the penultimate of which, In The Land Of OO BLA DEE, was awarded the title of Jazz Album of the Year at the Estonian Music Awards 2016.

The album Where It Begins, released in 2019, has received praise from fans and critics alike. The upcoming concert will feature songs from this album, among others.

This summer, Sofi Rubina will perform only once with Pärnu Linnaorkestri and Siim Aimla Funk Band!
