The closing chord of Pärnu City Orchestra’s 33rd season brings together the pure joy of discovery, Estonian lyricism and romantic surges of emotion. Appearing as soloist is violinist Triinu Piirsalu, winner of the Estonian String Players’ Competition 2025, whose performance will bring to the audience Heino Eller’s Violin Concerto — a work heard undeservedly rarely on concert stages. The evening opens with the world premiere of a new work by Liisa Hõbepappel and culminates in German Romantic composer Robert Schumann’s Second Symphony, inspired by deeply personal experiences.
The concert is dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Heino Eller’s birth.
